Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she was gifted to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school in 2003, and signed with Adidas an agreement as an athlete in professional competition. The following year she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in her respective events.
