Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200-meter race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. The youngest participant in the 200 meters in the world championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record time and time again in 2007 beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top third of each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
